It's a start...
I always talked about creating a blog once I became a stay at home mom, and now here I am 8 months after Soph was released FINALLY getting it done! Perhaps it's because at the moment the only thing in the place that we're living in now is a blow up mattress and necessities. No entertainment whatsoever to distract me from boredom except my computer.
We moved almost everything over to the new house this last weekend with the agreement that we could move our stuff in but not live there until papers are signed. Didn't think that was going to be an issue until we realized that in our hurry to get all of our utilities going in our new place, we transferred our gas too soon. So we've been living the last 3 days in our freezing cold rental with no hot water and no entertainment. Yesterday we went to the new place to shower and hung out there all day. It was actually kind of nice, feels like home. Felt a teeny bit guilty because we're not supposed to be "living" there, but we don't have food there and we didn't sleep there so...kind of like we were just hanging out at a friends or something. We've gotten the approval from the lender and now we're waiting for Rural Housing to give us the "ok" on Wednesday, then I'll start going over there everyday to unpack. I want to get this place unpacked and ready as soon as possible so I can focus solely on Sophie's upcoming birthday party! I know it's a little over a month away but I'll need to get invitations out and decorations made and I'm planning on making her a shirt... I've never done something like this before so this should be a fun experience!
